The difference between hooklift garbage truck and swing arm garbage truck

They are all used for urban trash treatment, the garbage bins are placed on the concentrated area and drawn away when they are full. One vehicle can be matched more than one garbage bin. One garbage compactor truck can deal with trash of large area.

Swing Arm Garbage Truck

The difference of them is that: swing arm garbage truck load national uniform hydraulic garbage bins with the function of self-charging. The garbage bin is divided into two types: swing arm type and pit type.

Hooklift Garbage Truck

The hooklift truck is also called detachable container garbage collector. The garbage bin is controlled by hydraulic system.the garbage bins are placed on the concentrated area ,operate the hydraulic system to fall down the hooklift craned on the rear of chassis, hook the front point of garbage bin, pull the garbage bin above the crossbeam, start the truck to delivery trash to refuse processing plant.

The main advantage is that one truck can match more than one garbage bin, one truck can transfer trash from several garbage collection points with high efficiency. The sealed garbage bin effectually avoid secondary pollution to environment.

Though the two trucks with same usage, they have different load capacity when choose same chassis. For example, when choose Dongfeng 145 chassis to be refitted, the load capacity of hooklift garbage truck is heavier 2 tons than swing arm garbage truck. Because two hydraulic arms of swing arm truck occupy more space than hooklift garbage truck. But the price of hooklift garbage truck is more expensive than swing arm garbage truck.
